North American Controls Inc has a professional staff of experienced engineers who design control systems for defense including hydraulic, pneumatic, suspension and fuel control applications.
Engineering staff has several years experience in designing control systems for the defense industry. Engineering is responsible for the entire design process including maintaining the design after release.
Engineering Design Process:
- Works with the customer to document and agree upon the requirements and interfaces.
- Develops a design concept for the control system using 3D modeling software and completes all the required design analysis:
- Flow Analysis
- Pressure Drop Analysis
- Finite Element Analysis
- Once the models and design analysis have been approved by the customer manufacturing drawings are created and released.
- Build a prototype unit for verification testing.
- Engineering performs verification testing to ensure each design meets all the functional and performance requirements.
Once the design is initially released engineering continues to work with manufacturing to answer questions and document design issues. Engineering maintains the technical data packages by issuing written change orders. All change orders are reviewed and acknowledged by each functional organization to ensure it is implemented across the organization. Engineering also offers support to customer logistics personnel and field support representatives for each product.
